Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Off Finance, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the app. You must accept these terms during onboarding before you can use the app.
2. Description of Service
Off Finance is a privacy-first, offline-first expense tracker. Your transaction data is stored locally on your device by default. Sync, shared vaults, and analytics sharing are optional and described below and in our Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility
Off Finance is for people 13 and older. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's OK to create an account, buy a plan, or turn on analytics sharing. The app doesn't check your age. If you're using the app on behalf of someone else, you confirm you're allowed to.
4. Sync
Sync is optional. If you don't use it, your data stays only on your device. Syncing across your devices is a paid service that requires an account. When you use it, we are responsible for storing your synced data safely, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Shared Vaults
The owner of a synced vault can invite other people by email. Invited people need an account but don't need to buy a plan, since the owner's plan covers sync for the vault. Everyone in a shared vault sees everything in it, plus the other members' names and avatars and the owner's email. Only invite people you trust with that data. If someone leaves or is removed, the copy already on their device stays with them.
6. Accounts & Security
You only need an account to use sync or to join a shared vault. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Payment & Subscription
Sync is a paid subscription, billed through Google Play. Pricing and billing terms are shown at the time of purchase, and the subscription may renew automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Google Play. Canceling or ending your subscription doesn't touch the data on your device.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Off Finance only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You won't attempt to disrupt the hosted sync service, gain unauthorized access to other users' data, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law. You are solely responsible for how you use the app and for the accuracy of the data you enter.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Off Finance is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or your inability to use it, including loss of data stored locally on your device. This includes damages resulting from your own misuse of the app, actions you take based on data you entered, or unauthorized access to your account caused by your failure to keep your credentials secure. For synced data, our responsibility is described in our Privacy Policy. Where a jurisdiction doesn't allow certain limitations, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms. Closing an account doesn't affect data already stored locally on your device.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of where you access the app from. This doesn't limit any consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence.
13. Changes to These Terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If the change is important, the app shows a "Review the updated terms" row in Settings that you can open when you want. It never shows up as a pop-up. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account.
